Land Subdivision Records
1856-[ongoing]
Series documents the subdividing and partitioning of land within the county. Records include survey notes, correspondence, photographs, satisfaction of agreements, maps of subdivided and partitioned land, and contracts and permits. Information includes subdivision names; lot, street, and alley dimensions; and township, range, and section numbers of land to be subdivided or partitioned.
Early Lane County subdivision plats are recorded in the Deed Record (Deeds and Indexes). Since 2001 subdivision and partition plats have been filed with surveys in the surveyor's map room (Survey Field Notes and Plats). The "Surveyor's Images & Documents Online" searchable database includes images of plats and notes related to government corners, county road maps, donation land claims, master road files, reestablishment records, road naming files, subdivisions, and vertical control dating from circa 1851 to the present. Deeds, mortgages, subdivisions, mining claims, military discharges, and other records created since circa 1972 are scanned and searchable on public access computers available in the Deeds and Records Research Library.
