Series provides a visual representation of the county and of physical structures constructed on county lands. Series includes maps, plans, and drawings that vary in size, scale, and date. Included are maps, plans, and drawings of counties and cities, election precincts, courthouses and other county buildings, cemeteries, rivers, Indian reservations, school districts, construction projects, and soil classifications. General road maps may be found in the series titled Road and Bridge Records. Technical road survey maps may be found in the series titled Road Maps and Survey Notes.
The Front Counter application GIS interactive maps include layers based on air quality, city limits, railroads, fire districts, legislative districts, transit district, school districts, voter precincts, city hall, fire stations, hospitals, law enforcement, libraries, medical services, schools, flood plains, rivers, lakes, streams, soils, contours, relief, vernal pools, structures, wetlands, zip codes and other subjects. The SmartMap GIS system maintained by Jackson County includes a download option for maps related to districts, precincts, boundaries, contours, fire risk, landslides, relief, soils, wildlife, lakes, streams, wetlands, greenways, public services locations, school locations, school district boundaries, emergency response, and related subjects.
